The Naughty List

"This is a distinctive, high-concept film that feels both timeless and subversively modern, and The Naughty List could become a perennial holiday festival favorite."

The Palm Springs International Screenplay Awards

The Naughty List Tops the Coverfly Red List!

We have some incredible news to share—this April, The Naughty List was officially named the #1 project on Coverfly’s Red List!

That’s right: out of more than 230,000 screenplays across all genres, our heartfelt, holiday-themed short has sleighed its way to the very top. 🎄✍️

For those unfamiliar, the Coverfly Red List is a curated leaderboard showcasing the highest-rated screenplays currently circulating in the entertainment industry. It’s used by producers, managers, agents, and other film professionals to discover standout projects. Being ranked #1 is not only a huge honor—it’s a major boost for our visibility as we head into production.

This script has been a labor of love from the start. Inspired by the magic of classic holiday movies—and grounded in a story about hope, healing, and a tenacious little girl—it’s been amazing to see how deeply the story has resonated with audiences, readers, and judges. In the past few months alone, The Naughty List has:

  • Won the Final Draft Big Break for Best Short Screenplay

  • Taken top honors at the Palm Springs International Screenplay Awards

  • Been selected as a Screencraft Film Fund winner

  • And now, reached the very top of the Red List.

Every step of the way, we’ve been lifted up by a community of friends, artists, and believers who’ve seen the potential in this story. To all of you: thank you. From the bottom of our tinsel-covered hearts. Your support, encouragement, and shared excitement have made this moment possible.

We’re currently deep in pre-production with an incredible cast and crew, and we can’t wait to share more behind-the-scenes updates as we bring The Naughty List to life.

Stay tuned… and stay on the Nice List. 😉

With joy and gratitude,
—Brandon & the Naughty List Team
